Only a few days since we left Thatch Caye, and we already miss it so much. Steve, Philips, and their team have created a unique eco friendly lodge that shows that eco-friendly can also be first class.
From the moment we stepped on the island, we knew that every detail was attended so we only had to relax and enjoy.
We highly recommend Thatch Caye. We found a very friendly, skillful and attentive staff, spacious and well designed casitas and great food. The fact that diving around Thatch Caye is one of the best diving spots of the world can only add to this paradise.
We are planning to go back.

Scuba Diving at Thatch Caye
The Diver’s Delight! The Reef in Central and Southern Belize remains largely untouched. Our local dive sites are great examples of pristine variety. Group trips to The Blue Hole, Lighthouse Reef, Glover’s Atoll and Whale Shark day trips are routine at Thatch Caye Resort (please note that there is a minimum of 4 people required for specialty dives).
